Does anyone know if/or/what ESAC's regulations are on planting shrubbery to fill in? I need specifics like how high or how wide the shrubs can grow. Also if I have to have a particular kind of shrub/tree. Do I need to get the ok from them to plant? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Oh do I need a permit to plant? Usually you need a permit to do anything so I am assuming this applies too?
Hi Zander, i'm assuming there arent any rules on planting shrubs since i just recently had to cut down because they got soooo high on my property. Plus isnt planting a good thing? If i were you i'd give Deb a call and just ask him. He's a wealth of knowledge!!!

Naw, I've only been at woodhaven I think for 4 years. I never had any problems and really never needed anything. Besides I would just ask the gang and 9 times out of 10 they had the answer. But now with all the problems arising I want to make absolutely sure I dot all the i's and cross my t's. I don't want any hassels from them. I guess you can classify me as a newbie in Section 7 compared to everyone else.
Zander, we have had shrubs on both of our lots and just planted some on the new one. Lord knows what they are. When Kevin comes home, I will post what he knows. I play dumb. If I knew what I was doing with planting, then it'd become my job. We've had good luck with whatever we have----I do know we bought everything at Home Depot in Peru and some at Ekana (at the old lot). Deer didn't eat them. Will get back to you.
Zander, we planted Rose of Sharon. The deer left them alone. We didn't ask permission to plant and with all of our improvements in Aug and Sept, we had ESAC at our place almost every wknd. They never said anything about planting. Just to be safe, I'd ask, though. I have to tell you that the women in the outdoor dept at Home Depot in Peru sure know their stuff. They know the deer stuff, but they do at Ekana, too! Stop by and see what we've done. You know where we're at. Hope this helps. See you soon?
This is a good site Packy. I order all my perrenials from them for the house. Their guarantee is an excellent one too. I have been with Springhill for 8 yrs now. High quality plants and one of a kind hard to find things also. I'm so glad I don't live in Ca where they are because i would have to buy stock in that company.lolol I'm just concerned that ESAC would say something if I did not plant the correct item. I'm sure there is some hidden article specifying what type of plants we can use. I want no headaches down the line with them. I asked them to send me in writing something pertaining to this. Hopefully they will respond.
